I bought the book for our first airplane trip. Since then, my 2-year old asks to read it again and again and will even spend time on her own purusing it. Because of all the detail, it is a great book to keep a child busy on a flight/trip. Unlike the older Richard Scarrys, it shows males and females in non-traditional roles, which is a nice plus.

Apart from the usually brilliant, somewhat old-fashioned classic style of Richard Scarry, this book has the added value of being a brilliant travel companion. If you spend a lot of time in airports, you’ll be pleased that your child will view the same old routines – check-in, security, boarding – with a lot more informed interest.

Everytime we read this book about the airport, she notices something new. She points everything out to me and wants to read it over and over and over again.
